Part 1 of the Fourfold Gospel — Jesus our Savior. The first great blessing of God the Father’s Grace to us through faith in the Lord Jesus is the forgiveness of sins in order to receive the Life Everlasting. “ . . . and you will give him the name Jesus, because he will save his people from their sins” (Matthew 1:21). From the very beginning, God wanted it to be very clear that the most important thing about his earthborn Son was that He would be our Savior—our rescuer, reconciler and restorer and that “Salvation is found in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved" (Acts 4:12).
